I've asked a question about disk cloning on the CloneZilla\Sourceforge site, and also on the (German) O&O DiskImage site. As yet, no replies from either forum. So I wondered if someone here might be able to comment on either or both softwares. These are my posts: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CloneZilla: I have a 2TB SATA storage drive with bad sectors. It runs in Windows (7Ultimate 64 bit), but spasmodically. From what I've read, it doesn't look like the drive can be cloned with other software, so I thought I'd try Clonezilla. I did a trial run with Clonezilla (booted into DOS) and it seemed to run OK, but it was forecasting around 8 days (190 hours) for the full job. Does this sound about right?It seems like a long time but I'll do it if that's what it takes. That is a software guess. It could be infinite. It depends on how many bad sectors are present. If the HD was healthy, maybe 12 hours.
