Hi @gorhill lately I have faced some problems with ublock when visiting sites with blockadblock service.
This service is basically one popping up on the whole page and asking to disable adblocking. For the moment I have found a workaround which means reading the website in reader mode, this fools blockadblock. But I am sure I can set ublock (or even uMatrix) to kill it the right way.

This is the service some sites are using: https://blockadblock.com/

You should make sure that the various uBlock filters (perhaps with the exception of the experimental one) are enabled in the uBO settings. They cover many of those cases already. If not, you should open an issue at https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets

thank you, so i was not on a wrong idea. well i understand if you wont implement this because it would cause uB raise cpu consumption because too unspecific.

Hi, first post here. I've been using Ublock Origin for about 5 years with Firefox. I recently switched to Basilisk, and a couple of months ago Ublock has stopped blocking elements on my Yahoo homepage. At first, when I opened my browser it wouldn't block them, but then it would from there on out until I closed the browser. Now it never blocks them. I can post a screen shot if necessary, but it's really nothing more than a few simple blocked elements like the Yahoo header at the top of the page and stuff like that. I'm using version 1.17.4, but I've also tried going back a few versions and also replacing my current backup files to ones back before there was a problem. I honestly don't know if this is a Ublock problem or a Basilisk problem. Any help would be appreciative, because now I'm not really sure if everything else is working correctly or not. Everything else does appear to be working though. Thanks.

With Basilisk you need to use the Legacy version (1.16.4.10) of UBO.
Be careful, you will probably have to re-enter some custom lists.
You will probably also need to disable the automatic update of UBO.

I read that somewhere also, so I did try that version and the same thing is happening.

    I did a test.
I access the Yahoo homepage for the first time.
To read a possible pop-up I'm forced to turn off UBO.
What I read I don't like at all and I decide not to continue.
I think you should change the homepage:

Yikes, that's a little harsh man, lol. I've had Yahoo as my homepage for 21 years now, I'd like to think there's a workaround for this. Like I said, it may even be a corrupt profile within Basilisk, but I'm not technically savvy enough to figure that out either. Also not really sure why you receive that pop up, I have no idea what that is, nor have I ever seen anything like that in all my years with this homepage. Maybe "My Yahoo" (which what it is called when you personalize and use it as a homepage works a little different than just straight "Yahoo.com".

Not 100% positive on all you wrote down. I already had the no cosmetic filtering enabled and I already had yimg.com grayed out (not sure if that's what you mean by allow, or if you mean to have it green. And I'm not sure what "consent.yahoo.com true" means.

As you can see from the video below is "Yahoo.com".
The pop-up appears even with W10:

Follow my advice ;), and in this case check if UBO works well on other websites.:thumb::)

To the best of my knowledge UBO seems to be working with everything else, and I'm still using version 1.17.4

yimg is required for all images!
and filters go to my rules, then you will see.

the 1st filter will show the whole popup, not only an empty square.
the rest is controlled by cookie(s)

Thanks for trying to help, but to perfectly honest, I really don't understand what any of that is trying to get me to do. Yes, I'm a complete noob when it comes to the understanding of UBO, but I haven't changed any of my rules or filters since I originally set them when it comes to My Yahoo homepage. Everything had worked perfect for all that time with Firefox, but changed shortly after I went to Basilisk. Totally not trying to be difficult, just wanted to make sure we're on the same page with what I'm trying to do. Maybe we are, and it's my lack of understanding of UBO.

Appreciate the help, but unfortunately that didn't seem to work. Pretty sure I did it correctly.
