    Shame. Actually been using Edge.

It was very stable and fast for me.

I don't think low percentage of Firefox matters that much for anybody except Mozilla's budget. Browsers use open standards, provides standard API for web pages. It's different than OS lower percentage of usage, because OSes provide different API/ABI for programs.

No, it should not be using Chromium, because it's crap! As soon as Firefox improves, I'm planning to dump Vivaldi which is a good browser, but Chromium has got some serious flaws. And BTW, I did read that the new Edge is also coming to Win 7 and 8.

    From the article:
I can't see a need to use Chrome at all except all lemmings are determined to help enforcing this harmful Chrome monoculture.

It looks good, one less app (Chrome) to install on my system then.

I gave it a spin and could become a daily driver replacing Chrome/Chromium if they don't go bloating it. This is basically Canary branch 75. For some reason AppContainer was disabled so had to be enabled via Edge://flags. Could just be a Canary bug and unintentional on Microsofts part. I have added all flags and extensions and will continue to use for now but I'd say it's ready for prime time.

Playing some more I really like it. It's basically standard Chromium with some minor tweaks and Edge branding. Leaner than Chrome as it doesn't come with Software Reporter Tool etc. I do like how it's using Smartscreen and also we can strengthen the browser even more using the Code Integrity Guard (block non-Microsoft) exploit protection that we use to strengthen Office apps so well. If it doesn't stray too far from where it's currently at by introducing unneeded/unwanted bloat it could be a keeper. :thumb:

I downloaded it from here - http://bbs.pcbeta.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1809473 - but during installation it wanted some logg in info. Since a haven`t got a clue about what info i can not install.

Anyone care to tell me how to install, or better yet, another better download site.

Hopefully I will be able to replace that Chrome garbage with Edge. For the record, I only use Chrome for testing stuff. On the other hand, do I really want to install Edge on Win 8 that is working perfectly fine? I mean Sandboxie will probably not be able to sandbox it, unless they have dumped the AppContainer usage.

Chromium-based Edge leaks in its entirety, and you can install it now.

USA still the best. But barely.
On W7P64 with Firefox & Vivaldi.
Do I even need to install Chromium-based Microsoft Edge?

If I install Chromium-based Microsoft Edge do I need to uninstall IE 11?

How about people on W10 is Chromium-based Microsoft Edge a forced update?
And will it uninstall regular Microsoft Edge?
