Malicious Javascript Active on FILA UK and Other Websites March 14, 2019 https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ne...ascript-active-on-fila-uk-and-other-websites/
Any ideas how to protect oneself from this? Yeah, you can disable javascript. But when you go to checkout, you will need to enable javascript again, and that's exactly where the sting happens.
That screwy JavaScript is been a nuisance for decades now and all the so-called brains who supposed to modernize this thing we use still haven't come out with a better alternative yet. And there we have it folks in a nutshell. You either shut it off or use it (if only temporary) and take your chances.
That's a good idea. On Chrome, uMatrix (from the publisher of uBlock Origin) can be used to block third-party scripts. It's not quite as easy as it sounds, because some sites use two or three domains, and that makes the browser add-on think it's third-party. But with a little patience, you can figure it out.
ScriptSafe should also work in both Chrome and Firefox. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/scriptsafe/oiigbmnaadbkfbmpbfijlflahbdbdgdf https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/script-safe/
ScriptSafe is indeed a great choice plus an absolute Bull with Muscle. It works magnificently for me on Vivaldi, so much so that i'm dialing it off many times since I also sport uBlockOrigin & PrivacyBadger + Possum
