Personally I would go for the HP, becuase I hate macOS. But for your case it depends if you prefer Windows or macOS.

So people basically buy a Mac for the OS? It's crazy, you get a better CPU, GPU and bigger SSD with the HP, so why on earth would I buy the MacBook? In fact, the HP Envy even looks better. Apple should be ashamed, and same goes for Dell, they are basically trying to rip people off. BTW, I saw this very cute Lenovo desktop, strange that HP, Acer and Asus have not yet come up with such a small design. But apparently it has a noisy fan.

Also for the preceived build quality and of course, a lot of people hate Windows. The funny thing is, that if you have a look at Louis Rossmann's YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl2mFZoRqjw_ELax4Yisf6w, you will see that Macs often have serious design flaws.

Yes I read about it, that MacBooks had some hardware flaws. I've been playing with the macOS, but I'm sticking with Windows, it's still better, and I just love the HP laptops, I'm going to buy either the 13 or 14 inch.

Actually, there are more apps available for the Mac than I thought, so I can see myself using it. But I just don't think Apple hardware (desktops, laptops and smartphones) is worth it, not at these ridiculous high prices.

    "Ridiculous" is the right word.
