So you have a dual-boot system with two win10, im curious on what usage? I did it in the past when I wanted a gaming system only while working in the other.

    People usually dual-boot different OSes.

removed/disabled Windows Defender since there seems to be no way to redirect signature updates or change the signature location to another drive. In the registry there is a key where the signature location can be set however this key is protected by the system. Even if you edit this key by using a live system it will be reset to the default settings automatically by regedit.exe whenever you reboot the system. Thank you Microsoft...

guest makes a comment, and you kill Sandboxie. :D

The day licenses are not being sold anymore and you dont see licenses advertised in this link, that day you can say Sandboxie is dead. Licenses not being advertised would be the tell tale sign that SBIE is on the way out, but till then, you can be certain we ll Sandboxie for a while.
    https://www.sandboxie.com/

Is hard to maintain Sandboxie, a lot of work is required to maintain it. perhaps one day it would become too expensive to keep it going, and that day it would mark the beginning of the end and slowly fade away. Every software has a life cycle. So, the day that Sandboxie is gone, I wont be surprised or cry about it. I told Tzuk when he sold out, that anything I get from Sandboxie after him going was like gravy, extra. So far, I gotten a lot of extra from SBIE, and its still coming.

By the way, Sandboxie is working great in W10. guest always has issues running software under Sandboxie, its been like that forever, but me, I am doing everything I want to do under Sandboxie. I am doing same activities and running same software that I ran and run in my XP and W7 in my W10, without issue. My internet experience has continuously over the years being wonderful thanks to Sandboxie. I tip my hat to Tzuk, Curt and the rest of developers that over the years have maintained Sandboxie. I appreciate what they do and dont take their work for granted.

    Security setup:

    Real time
    2009-2010 Sandboxie, NoScript, AV
    2010-2019 Sandboxie, NoScript

    On demand scanners, etc:

    2009-2011 Malwarebytes, Hitman pro
    2011-2019 None

    Welcome back @bo elam

I thought you had issues due to your country actual state, glad to see you are well.

I don't have issue running programs, just the same ol stupid GUi proxy alert with Chrome that exist since years, which I must hide many times.

I have Sbie running on one system without issues since more than a couple of years.
I have static systems, using the same apps most portable, for years.
I think you need to update your infos about me, you were gone for long time hahaha

I just say Sbie way of sandboxing is such that they must run after each major upgrade of softs/OS.

Not my fault if some share my opinion ;)

You only use softs that fit Sbie, opposite to most that need Sbie to fit the softs they use.

Different approach, different experience, different opinions.

You call the GUi proxy Sandboxie message an issue when actually that is a non issue. Like you said, you Hide the message and Chrome and Sandboxie work perfectly well.

I dont know why you have to Hide it many times. You are supposed to hide it once and thats it.

I am going to tell you something to think about, the GUIPROXY message and Sandboxie in W10. I use an antique (I love using this word) version of KMPlayer in my W10. Same old installer from 2008 that I used in my XP, later in my W7s and now in W10. Its a 32 bits installer, my W10 is 64 bits. In my old XP, the GUIPROXY message was issued by Sandboxie, I hid it and forget about it. In W10, I dont see the message. Thats how good Sandboxie is working in W10.
So, if if you have basically being issue less for years using Sandboxie, why is it that many of your posts sound like you are having issues left and right when thats actually not the case? :)

Regarding development of Sandboxie, I know you always complain about the way that is but why? actually, that should make you appreciate more the work that people like Tzuk and Curt have done over the years with Sandboxie. Thats why I said that I appreciate what they do and dont take for granted their work. Maintaining Sandboxie its tough, its supposed to be tough. If it was easy, their would be more programs copying Sandboxie and trying to do what Sandboxie does. Because it is tough maintaining Sandboxie, Sandbxoie is a unique type of program. One of a kind .
guest, he didnt share your opinion. You didnt say or imply that Sandboxie is dead or in the process of dying. He said that, with joy.

    Good seeing you

@bo elam no idea why GUI Proxy kept popping up (never really did serious investigation tough) , i only have it with Chrome. Maybe because I tweaked it but some other who didn't reported the same.

I'm a perfectionist when it come to computer stuff , I don't like annoying things to keep annoying me haha.

You know it is when you like something the most that you are the hardest on it.

Now that I read it again, indeed he didn't share my opinion lol.

Hi Bo, nice to see you back at Wilders! I've used Win 10 from the very beginning and Sandboxie has always worked properly, very few issues indeed and beta versions are always very stable and reliable. Sandboxie + Chrome + AV are all I need, no malware, slowdowns, conflicts, I just wish MS would perform major upgrades once a year rather than the current spring and fall schedule...

On my machines (all Win 10 now) Sandboxie is a must have and has been for years.
It runs alongside OSArmor and Emsisoft Anti-Malware.

Cool, Bo is back again. And same over here, can't believe that I'm still running Sandboxie, it started back in 2004, I believe it's now my longest running app, both security and non security. And kudos to Invincea and Sophos that they continue to support it.

    @bo elam

actually, this is why i "share his opinion":

i use 10's apps rather than desktop programs and they're much more convenient to my (and most windows users') needs. and sbie cannot handle apps, you cannot run apps under the supervision of sbie.

as for the "sbie's dead" part, it was a reference to a pulp fiction scene, you know the one where bruce willis starts his chopper and goes "zed's dead, baby; zed's dead".

Indeed, i do also use some metro apps:
    Mail, Map, Weather, Calendar, etc...
And they run under Appcontainer, which is one step deeper the integrity level of Sbie.

Thing is, not everyone runs metro apps.
    I don't use any.
We all use our machines in different ways because we are all different :)

Good seeing you also, my friend.
Thanks, Osaban. I agree about what you are saying about major upgrades in W10. Myself, I am trying to skip 1809.

    @paulderdash, Thanks.
Thanks, Rasheed. You were one of the first dozen of signed up users at the Sandboxie forum.

Sorry, but guest never implied or mentioned Sandboxie being dead. Perhaps you quoting him, means you share his opinion, I guess.

Anyway, if you only use Windows Apps, its understandable you dont use Sandboxie or even care about it but there's no reason to call Sandboxie dead when its not, and makes it worse when you display joyfulness in your post announcing Sandboxies death.

Personally, I don't like Windows Apps or use any of them and dont watch or like movies like Pulp fiction. I rather watch old movies when they knew what they were doing. I guess you and I are totally opposite in tastes and likes. To me, thats fine

I added "Perhaps you quoting him means you share his opinion. OK." to the quote from your post in error. That was actually part of my reply to you. Reread my previous reply, and you ll see it written in the first line of that post as well.
