Thankfully I haven't experienced that. Lifetime licenses installed, but just running on demand.

    Thanks for notice ,
but it's a beta version , not stable version .

if the user are not going to be a beta tester , should wait until stable version release .. :)

The usual official download for MB3 will likely yield a Component Package of 1.0.482, for a few days more, but may easily be upgraded now through: Settings > Application > Application Updates > Install Application Updates.

You're welcome, Page42. It looks to only affect the Premium version and only on some machines.

Malwarebytes MB3 3.6.1.2711 Component package version 1.0.519 - Full Release.

    Announcement: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/top...r-windows-361/?do=findComment&comment=1292040

Component Update 3.6.1 v1.0.519 released for Website downloads only

Malwarebytes community, we have updated the version of the components package for our Windows 7 and later Website downloads only.

This new package addresses improvements to functionality for certain licensing operations.

Additionally, please be advised we're aware of a number of Windows 7 systems slowing down or freezing under certain circumstances, although we have significant resources fully committed to solve the problem as soon as possible in an upcoming release, this update is not intended to address this issue.

    MB3 Download: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/

or, permit MB3 to perform its own application update. (GUI: Settings > Application Tab > Application Update > Install Application Updates button)

Note: If you are trying to stay at Component package update (CU) 1.0.482, for W7 related issues, it is strongly suggested that this CU be ignored for now.

    Thank you.

    Reference: 3.6.1.2711-1.0.527-1.0.8817 Release version

Announcement: Test Build for Windows 7 Freeze Issue

    Hello!

If you are experiencing the Windows 7 freeze issue we have a new test preview build for Malwarebytes 3.

This test build incorporates an updated component package intended to resolve the freezing. We are still in the process of working through our internal testing and regression on the component package, but because we have had good feedback from testers and because this is a priority issue, we wanted to make this build available for those comfortable working with a pre-beta test build.

If you prefer not to work with this test version, then we hope we can offer further solutions for you some time next week.

You may download the test build, with new component package 1.0.527, from this link on Box:

    hxxps://malwarebytes.app.box.com/s/5ov6t2yx366cjgdsv6hgrtshbvlbybnj

Please let us know whether this resolves the issue for you.

Published early Friday morning in the U.S., CU 1.0.527 has no reported freeze nor regression issues.

This version may be installed on top of other recent releases.

    Thank you.

Edit: Changed to Release version per https://forums.malwarebytes.com/top...r-windows-361/?do=findComment&comment=1293765
