I installed this last night and here are some screenshots. You can schedule it to regularly check for updates for your installed software. As well as checking for updates to the software you have installed, it can install popular applications with one click. I like that they have included the option to send feeback on the beta, directly from within Software Updater. Like any automated software updater, I don't expect it to support a lot of software, but it is a nice program.
It would be nice to have a list of the 100+ supported essential software. And is it possible to add own software to be automatically updated?
You would need to ask IObit to add the software. Because it silently installs software updates rather than running the installer normally, it would not be possible to include the option to add new software yourself.
100+ for the version 1.0, that is pretty neat. I might use it in combination with patchmypc, it does not update my browser. Nevermind, it found 2 apps I use, not even flash plugin, which is essential to be updated. I guess they just put a random list together (Avira, WinRAR, IP Scanner) and released it. Time to polish it now to make is usable.
Nothing to see here ,nothing special, IObit Software Updater is under gunned and under powered,still a beta , I will wait for it to grow a bit then,check it out some more,
Why do you say that? Any automated software updater will always have a very limited amount of software they can update, as it's just too much effort to support automated installation of a large amount of software.
I must say it's not bad. Good looking GUI, and it displays available updates without it having to connect to the network, like some other software updaters.
