What?

I don't recall that dust filters have been standard on computers. Even on ~high-end servers. I mean, they'd get clogged, and that'd be very bad.

 

That's true, but dark smudges inside the screen sounds like at least some reason that's worth suing for. Aren't they usually somewhat isolated or secured by tape, making it hard to have a hole air could enter, let alone dust? Sounds worth to me.
But how can a lack of an air filter be "alleged"? I mean they're either there or not, and no mac laptop has a filter.

 

I don't know. I suspect that there's been some automatic translation craziness. But

OK, I see. But "dust filter" seems an odd way to look at it. It's a defect in the displays, for sure. But I can't tell whether it's delamination, or dust getting between the layers. The dust thing makes no sense to me. What would be pulling dust into such narrow spaces? Electrostatics? And even if it is dust, what you need is a seal, not a filter. Unless maybe for pressure relief.

 

I'll go along with the defect in the display. When Apple replaced my display I asked if the inside was dusty since they cleaned the inside of the 27 inch while replacing the display. I talked to the employee that worked on my Mac and he stated it was clean inside.

What we really need is a "bulldust" filter.

 

So will you open up your laptop once in a while to clean the dust filter for it'll clog as time goes by?

That's it for a laptop? Screwdriver. I wish I was that lucky on the 27 inch.
In order to replace my screen a need more than a screwdriver. Try Spudger, Service Wedge, Adhesive Tape and a PITA trying to get it off and put back on.

Yea... it's like they want to start to pot their whole laptops in epoxy at some point in the future. (Those are not Apple-specific, btw )
