    Is it better than LibreOffice with Word documents?
    The best freeware I found so far for Word compatibility is WPS by Kingsoft. (well, it has a free version but also available with different paid versions)

    Lol a three year old security update from a branch that also went EOL three years ago.

    Afaik yes, especially the 'Fresh' branch. I have no experience with WPS.

    Do you mean Apache OpenOffice is better than LibreOffice with Word documents, as fblais asked, or do you mean LibreOffice 6.1 is better than Apache OpenOffice, as I think you mean?

    Ah yes I misread the sentence. I did indeed mean that LibreOffice(especially Fresh, currently 6.1) is better with Word documents than OpenOffice.
