    Hello,
I need to be able to remote into a family members PC to help her set things up. I am very concerned with security and want to make sure she isn't infected with something before I load up a password manager for her.

I am looking for any suggestions. My goal is to use it and then have her uninstall it as I don't want it just sitting there. Maybe I am overly concerned? I feel like I'm loading a back door to her PC which I am but I'm worried it can be used for malicious things.

TeamViewer is a popular, easy-to-use remote access program to access or let someone remotely access your computer. It can be installed or run as portable.

TeamViewer is great, but the password length and randomnes by default is really bad. It's just four numbers. Be sure to change that in the options. (You can do that remotely)

That is just for one-time remote access, you can use a longer password for the account. After recent hacks, they have added verifications, so any new computer has to be verified via an email.

I doubt that, that is just for a quick assistance, still some people fail to handle even that, like to download it and to dictate the code with a password.

If you truly want to be sure she isn't infected with something 100%, especially important if she does banking and stuff, is to clean install windows, that's the only way you can be 100% sure
