    I use FileChangeAlarm which is a Windows 98 app and it works perfect even on a Windows 10 x64 unit monitoring file drops or other changes. It's on all my PC's. Many apps also from XP have followed me over to 8.1 and work excellent as well. Tremendously useful. I skipped Win 7 and Vista completely so I know nothing of either of those except tons of users thrill to pieces with their 7 as I do 8.1. :)

    Do you have installation file/pack? I didn't find it but I would test it on Vista.
    Is it not similar to ExeWatch?

    New computer (Win10 64-bit), but good ol's security setup:

    Real-time protection: Kaspersky Internet Security (maximum security settings, Trusted Application mode enabled)
    Browser protection: uBlock Origin
    Second-opinion scanners: AdwCleaner, Hitman Pro, VT Uploader
    Windows Privacy: O&O ShutUp10
    Backup: Iperius

    That's all I need, I guess. If you think something is missing, just tell me. Suggestions are always welcome.:)

    Is very impressive for the 1803 version. Thanks for the run up link to the Debonetted page. Incredible the mass stuffings MS is packed into these newer and newer versions. And just as hard to track them all down. Wow. Can't be an easy task but some are sharp as a whip what to knock out and how.

    @PoetWarrior,

    nice security setup. Lean & mean and if something does go sideways, Macrium makes recovery a mere formality rather than a disaster. If you haven't already, adding a script/ad blocker like uBlockO or NoScript to Firefox would nicely enhance your setup.
