I also got a blue screen saying that the update failed. Trying again.

Update also tries to change browser settings to God Alone knows what.

Hmm. One of my machines had a lot of trouble upgrading to 1803 and 1809 is not being offered on it. I guess that means it needs an update for compatibility, or maybe it is updated as far as it is going to be.

Guys- A Word to the Wise- Please, please, please image your system prior to attempting to install this update. Although Windows reverting to the prior installation worked fine in my case (the update failed, btw), it may not for you.

Anyone on 1809, have you checked Task Manager after you have opened and closed Edge? On my machine Edge keeps running.

Not here. Two computers. Edge disappears from Task Manager.

Thanks Brian. I guess you did a clean install, or was it an in-place upgrade using the ISO?

On what is soon to be my lone Windows 10 machine, the HDMI connection is gone mute. Now that might be hardware related? but it always work before starting with 1709 all the way up the chain to now. Gonna assume it's a setting related issue but it's tiresome running into one then another unknown every update on 10. And why we've settled back into the safety of 8.1 for the foreseeable future.

It will be a driver issue. With the right driver installed, it would work again.

It's happening on the one computer I've upgraded so far, that it stays in Task Manager, even though I have Privacy/Background Apps/Let apps run in the background, switched off. But, it is Suspended (so it isn't actually running) and is not using any RAM, so I don't see it as an issue.

... Except it keeps VoodooShield on. It was only using about 4.5 MB of RAM on this machine. I only noticed it because after Edge was closed I got a fly-out from HitmanPro.Alert saying Edge was opening just after I'd closed it.

I don't know how to stop it from being suspended. It's not an issue for me, as I don't use VS.

    1809 now installed and running.
    No Edge in taskmanager.
All privacy settings I had made were retained.
Just about to re-install Sandboxie :)

Am I right guessing this is the second big upgrade of Win 10 this year, something like the Spring Creators Update was?

Downloaded the Windows 10 1809 x64 (English) ISO directly from Microsoft.

Installation via a USB drive went fine, but when I tried to burn the image to a DVD with ImgBurn it did not fit the (regular) DVD... (and "overburn" failed)
