I have Windows 10 Pro, on a desktop PC. I have turned off Windows Defender, but Windows Firewall is Active. I installed Cylance Protect, and then installed WebrotSecureAnyWhere. I read on the web that both programs accepted other antivirus products, and would work together. This is to have one catch what the other might miss. PC seems to be running very well, responsive, apps open fast, and web surfing is quick also.
Nothing wrong with using Cylance in a multi-layer protection scheme like that, I know Cylance also works well with Kaspersky and ESET.
Would do except I have little issues with CFW....Icons in task bar disappear, programs stop responding, because CFW tags them, and even after I say permit, CFW decides to ignore my decision. IF it weren't for that I would use Comodo Free Internet Security, its blazing fast on my PC (Not as fast as Cylance, but still....Plus you can use CS settings on the firewall in CIS too.
Heard back from Webroot, they say the same as Cylance support, OK to use two securities... ~Private email removed~
With Cylance alone PC is the fastest it's ever been, but when I add Webroot SecureAnyWhere, it's even faster....This doesn't make sense, but it's true. All my apps are more responsive, and even web surfing is faster.
I think what might have happened is your Cylance finished its initial deep scan shortly after you installed webroot.
Good thought....So I went back to my plane Jane Macrium Image, installed everything again, waited for the scans to finish. Went it showed no activity, I installed Webroot, and again speed increase.
