Once again I reach out to the community forum, this time to try to get a better read on which WIM and other similar files editing solutions are your own best suggestions. Here are a few I am trying.

    PowerISO-UltraISO-WinISO-ISO2Disc to name a few.

The plan if it goes as intended is that I want to use a program that can not just open for edit WIM files from ISO's but safely and correctly reassemble (especially WIM files) to convert back to a bootable ISO that will serve as a rescue disk for Windows 8-8.1 or even universally including 7 & 10. In the past there's been Bart's PE, Hiren's and some others.

With the great magnificent free tool Rufus, building a bootable USB FOR UEFI-GPT is a piece of cake, but I have tried multiple times to apply a similar setup that will work when burning to DVD plastic disc. I know DVD's are rather outdated anymore to bother with when such good results are realized with USB Flash Drives-but an extensive Google search turned up not much where concerns DVD's.

More specifically, something as simple a 7Zip easily opens a WIM file revealing it's contents (Folders-Files) but the reassemble is outside my experience. Found that out soon enough.

Let's focus on a DVD for GPT disk partition boot-UEFI only and no Legacy if we can.

Eons ago I recall a program named WinMount where you Mount an ISO image, extract to desktop, and proceed to build your own home grown emergency DVD. Maybe it's not that difficult for the routine experienced, but which programs are best suited to build a bootable UEFI Secure Boot DVD emergency rescue disk? All and any suggestions are welcome.
