    SJW?

I joined MT with my user name, bellgamin, & posted an introductory message in their New Member Introductions forum -- just saying where I live and stuff like that. Minutes later I received an email that I was banned from the MT forum because I tried to post spam. I sent 3 emails over the course of a week, asking why. I finally got a curt reply blaming it on their computer's spam eater. As far I can tell, my 1 & only post never got posted. A strangely unfriendly forum IMO.

    @bellgamin

Never heard anyone else had that issue. Did anyone else had that problem?

I rarely see the introduction forum. But most, if not all, posts I see there tend to be very friendly.

Apparently you can get it to do a full system scan by enabling an advanced mode.

the lack of configuration options is still off-putting
i wish they would have a switch to enable an advanced panel that resembles the enterprise options

For advanced users I agree. Though I'm not certain it's a bad idea keeping a simplified interface for your typical home user.

I am sure a simplified interface is intended to reduce the number of tech support queries they would have received had they made it more sophisticated/advanced.

and in the process made it totally useless against any kind of scriptor
at least in CylancePROTECT you can have all scriptors instantly blocked, this one just lets them through and not a single thing you can do about it.

It didn't do so bad in the latest hub test with a bunch of .js, .vbs, word, .pdf, files.

trust me, i did CylancePROTECT tests in the hub, it's absolutely horsekaka against anything other than .exe
only if i weren't banned for no apperant reason people would have a better overlook of what Cylance is capable of, but oh well. MT staff is gonna MT staff

Eh it might not be stellar at those kinds of threat vectors, but not many vendors are. Look at F-Secure and Mcafee on that test. Avast was bolstered by third party software, and defender was hardened as well.

If Cylance was free, i wouldn't mind some lack of protection against some vectors, but it isnt...

I'm really starting to see the wisdom in the no home tests rule on wilders.

It doesnt matter, it is not a competition. The goal of a security product is to protect users as much as possible based on its scope, and it failed plenty.

Prince and performance impact are pretty important categories to me.

Yes of course, it is important, but efficiency matters first. The goal of a user is to find the right balance for him.
