I recently switched from Comodo firewall to CCAV, and I'm liking it. I checked quite a number of places for CCAV reviews and tests. Every one of them was positive. Like Comodo Firewall, CCAV caught everything. I also like that they have the options to stop everything in the sandbox from calling out or receiving, much like Comodo's firewall.

I tried it, but it wasn't light at all on my system...
Only boot time was OK, everything else was slowed down. Even opening Windows Settings had a delay of 1-2s.
CPU usage was constantly 3-5% when idle and RAM was around 100Mb (not so high, but before it was around 10Mb)...
Uninstalled CCAV and back to Avast, everything came back to normal (CPU around 0-0,1% and RAM around 10-20Mb when idle, settings and apps running nearly istantly)

A while ago I read your positive comments about CCAV and tried it. Since then CCAV has improved on my PC leaps and bounds: very light and no impact on browsing. I admit there were some versions that slowed start-up and browsing, but nowadays it's fine, and I prefer it to CFW. I urge people to try it as you never know you may get the result I see. Check out the Bora test of Comodo Cloud Antivirus on Malwaretips.

Yes, I'm surprised too about how badly CCAV performs on my PC... but I can't find the culprit

I was planning to try it but seems there is no way to control what is automatically sandboxed and what is not. And you can probably also not use it in the same way as Sandboxie, with that I mean installing multiple versions of the same app in the sandbox.

Probably a good idea. It was a bit confusing having so many different antimalware products.

They hadn't updated it in over 2 years or so. It's about time they finally discontinued it. Comodo seems to be messing up a lot of stuff with CIS/CAV/CFW too. Every time I decide to fiddle with it again, I get errors and performance issues and often times, the program won't start after a few reboots and there will just be an empty space in the taskbar tray that when hovered over will say "comodo firewall"

comodo's uninstall tool is the only thing that can get the things that comodo breaks to be working again.
