Any downsides in comparison to KAV?

I hear it is more configurable in version 2019 than KAV.

Such as settings? That is the ONE reason I am NOT using the 2019 one? I like the settings for each component.

I tried to download it from the link you provided, but it downloaded the paid version, which required me to enter a product key before I could use it, rather than the free version. I searched on Google, but could not find a download link for the installer for the free version.

I am having troubles with windows notifications , trouble reported is with windows fire and I can not seem to get it fixed !
I have installed and uninstalled it twice , same problem .
Kaspersky free cloud antivirus reports my PC is protected with no errors ….
Kaspersky cloud antivirus firewall settings all as should be , but still problem exists....
I plan on uninstalling it and returning to Kaspersky Free Antivirus , as it works perfect

OS here windows 10 64 bit home …..

That's the link I used. But I see that it's currently only available in the US.

It's a cloud management, not a cloud AV.
    It has to download signatures

I connected to a US server and then installed it again. It still thought I was from Australia, but that could be because, my region was set to Australia in my Kaspersky account. I was able to download a 30 day trial version. After installing it, it told me I needed to go to go to the My Kaspersky website and change the region for my account. However, you can't actually do this from the My Kasperksy website, you need to actually contact them to do this, so I created a new account, with the region set to USA. I logged into my new account and I was able to use the trial version.

It looks like it offers very good protection, but was too heavy for my liking. I got seemingly endless alerts about actions from software running on my computer, after it had finished installing. It's good that it was keeping a close eye on my system, but it was annoying dealing with all the alerts. I have many programs installed on this computer. I feel that if I ran it on a computer with much fewer installed programs installed, then it would be quite light.

I'm going to install the free version on another computer now, to see if just having a US Kasperksy account is enough to be able to use the free version.

I'm sure it will expand to more regions, in time. When they first released their free antivirus, it was initially only available in Russia.

you know that illusion that the EU made that our data is safe from now on cause companies have to disclose what data they have on us.

Today I just tried KSCloud 2019 Free, using the online installer in KL USA Site...

I'm in Spain (Europe), during the installation it asked me the language (English -> USA, Spanish -> México, French -> Canada), I selected English, although You can change later the language in Appearance settings...

Once installed, I was asked for "My Kaspersky" service email/password, I typed them and activated Free edition without any issues...

Is the AV really cloud only or does it download local signatures?
Would you mind posting some screenshots?

It has the standard signatures + cloud KSN technology of the already known Kaspersky home products (KIS/KAV/KTS/KFA2019)...

I think/guess They called it "Cloud" because it allows You to manage many systems via "My Kaspersky" services...

The interesting point (as already said) is that in this free product You still can tweak the main active modules (greyed in KFA2019)...
