Following on from my previous post # 2727 there appears to be something seriously wrong with Zemana.

I’ve just run four pieces of malware past it and it showed two of the four as being clean, despite the fact that VT flagged one as being detected by 48 out of 68 engines and the other detected by 16 out of 67. Not even zero day stuff.

I’ve still got 226 days left on my licence, but… no updates for ten months; no recent participation in this forum; key staff departures, and now suspect malware detection. Sorry Zemana but that’s it for me.

Shame. Once a great product which is now looking more and more like abandonware.

They cant update it because i think they lost all their engineers that created this program.
Also to stop zemana from crashing u need to enable in windows 10 the
.NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel

    You probably be right ,
and not just they stop update , also many false positive had be ignore for very long time but still there ,
i really doubt did Zemana still had any senior engineer ?

And i guess they keep selling Zemana's kernel technology ,
so that is why so many " rebranded " product show up .

    Such as " MalwareFox、Watchdog Online Security Pro " .

Don't they have a site where you could download it from. Do you like it better than MalwareFox app.

MalwareFox scan found a few things, but i did not see how i could choose to exclude what was found or quarantine anything.

Zemana, Watchdog and MalwareFox, are all the same product, released under different names.

I have a lifetime license for their antilogger. So they aren't making Zemana anymore, looks like it has been almost a year since the last one.

    I found something interesting !
In machines with uefi and secure boot on.
When u do a major windows update (for example spring 1803 update) in device manager i see that some of details in event tab missing.
    for example :
http://i67.tinypic.com/29lfz9k.jpg (in this photo before the repair the details was a white tab)
Also i found that with zemana the system device ROOT\VOLMGR (volume manager) is missing when u have the program installed.

The fix for both of them is to uninstall zemana , run the cmd with the cleaning commands and doing and in place upgrade repair of windows.
    Can anyone confirm this?

I just received an email from Zemana, promoting their new forum. I would have preferred to see an update to Zemana released, before they added a forum to their site. I can only hope they they give better support via the forum than they do by email.

I use ZAM on a daily base, to scan customers machines.
It always works well and finds thing, other have missed.
It's fast, with very few false positives.

ZAM was never dead, or let me down.
