When I checked for updates manually (after reading this thread) I got the flash player update.

Yes, on 3 machines, after checking for updates.

    Edit: KB4103729, on Win 10 x64 v1803 17134.48.

Yeah, the person who made the original inquiry to me also received it today.

What is strange is it was not offered yesterday when I checked manually. Yet, it was listed in the Win Update Catalog with a date of May 4.o_O

My feedback with the upgrade to 1803 follows.
    1. The upgrade went smoothly without any problems during and afterwards, no black screen or any other issues spotted by others.
    2. As always happens after upgrades, the restore points was disabled, I had to enable it.
    3. As always happens after upgrades, the fast booting was enabled, I had to disable it.
    4. The device security overview shows that the TPM processor requires an update and it leads me to Acer link where I can download the fixed firmware version 4.34.1011.0 for my laptop. Running the file it requires a password that I'm not aware of. So I aborted it and left it as it is. Can anyone shed more light?

Restore points for System Restore? I have not seen this. Is it turning off System Restore or blowing out your restore points (obviously turning it off would do both).

Yes. Happened to me after the 1803 upgrade. I had to manually reenable it and set appropriate drive selection/s.

Unfortunately both. But as I said it happens for every upgrade (not updates and patches) of win 10.

I installed the May MS updates for Win 7 today. The monthly rollup 3718, .net 9633, and the MSR tool 0830. Also updated ccleaner yesterday, and defraggler today. There is a new problem going on today. When i click on my chrome bookmarks such as Wilders, i get that spinning wheel for a second or two before the bookmark launches. Almost like the backgroung is busy with something starting today or yesterday and causes a delay in starting the bookmarks. I might have to uninstall ccleaner and see if that was the problem. I think it started before i installed defraggler.

The May .net i just installed is kb4099633. I clicked on ... to remove a installed update click here. When i did that i could not remove .net 9633 because it was not listed. It was listed as kb4096418. Does that mean i have to uninstall 6418 to really uninstall 9633 .net update.

KB4099633 installs .NET Framework updates depending on what is on your system. KB4095874 for .NET Framework 3.5.1, KB4096495 for .NET Framework 4.5.2, or KB4096418 for .NET Framework 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, or 4.7.1.
In Installed Updates, Uninstall an update, the updates that are installed are shown.
On your system, for the May 2018 KB4099633 .NET Framework update, KB4096418 .NET Framework update is installed. (Same on my system.)
So, if you want to uninstall the May 2018 .NET Framework update, you need to uninstall KB4096418 .NET Framework update.

Uninstalling KB4103718, the May 8, 2018 Monthly Rollup, should only uninstall that one, and not the May 2018 .NET Framework update or the Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT).

    N.B.
Note that KB4103718 Monthly Rollup is not the same as the installed KB4096418 .NET Framework update. Both ending on 18 and KB4099633 installing KB4096418 can be confusing.

Microsoft Patch Alert: Major bugs introduced in May fixed, plenty of problems remain
The good news? Those embarrassing SSD bugs in Windows 10 version 1803 seem to be fixed. The bad news? Just about everything else.

I feel that this "bugs" are blown way out of proportion for the average user.

How many average users actually use remote desktop?

Same here, but I rolled back to 7. I've been playing with and using 10 now for almost 3 years, and with each release, it just keeps getting buggier and worse... No thanks...

I upgraded from 7 pro to 8.1 Pro with an oem disc that came with this computer. I had 7 pro in the restore thing until I installed Win 10. Win 10 erased that area so 7 is gone. I'm happy with 8.1 Pro. It's fast and stable. No complaints. But no more win 10.

Yep, I have used 8.1 myself, and would choose that any day over 10... I am officially done with 10 also, as of 1803.

The machine I had trouble with on 1803 has been running 1709 since. Today I manually checked for updates and 1803 is installing now. I hope they resolved the problem that machine was having, but if not I do have a recent image.
