    Those police are just curious ******** :) And I guess that they think of smartphones as logically equivalent to wallets, handbags, backpacks, etc.

    I guess. One can't just magically scoop up such data though. The article sounds a bit, sensationalised.

    Usually when something like this happens there's a whole bunch of security enthusiasts theorising how it could be possible, but I'm not seeing any of that, or any coverage on tech sites.
