Launch the "Element Picker mode", select the green "cookie notice" at the bottom of the website and it will be gone.
mood explained it in previous post. You can also right click on notice and select uBlock Origin option Block element and save a rule.
That is what I did because I know nothing about the element picker. I had to do this three times to remove the entire banner however. In any event, seems gone now. Thanks!
Took 3 times for me too. So is this just a Chrome thing? I noticed that the banner did not come up in FF.
One other way to block this kind of pop ups with uBlock is to check filters under Annoyances. I have Fanboy's checked and this banner never showed up, saves me time in many other sites too.
Code: www.wilderssecurity.com##.noticeContent.baseHtml This works for me too. The only filter I needed to add.
The banner says, "By continuing to use this site, you are consenting to our use of cookies." When you log in, you continue to use the site, therefore you consent to Wilders' use of cookies, so there is no need to choose "Accept" to remove the banner, the banner is no longer of any use, so it is no longer shown.
Yes, the "cookie banner" will only be shown for not logged in users. While visiting of the website (not logged in) at first one session cookie appears: ...in addition the green cookie banner will be displayed. After clicking on "Accept", another session cookie appears (and the green banner is gone [at least for the current session]): = In the case of a missing session cookie "xf_notice_dismiss" the banner will be displayed on the website (except for logged in users)
