So followed the link, download the online install package and was directed to turn off firewall during installation. So out of curiosity I did and then checked connections. One connection was with dear old China. Anyone else see this?

 

The disabling of the Win firewall, I assume you mean, definitely doesn't sound right. You would be immediately at risk with the firewall disabled especially if your router doesn't have a built-in firewall. Are you sure you downloaded the on-line installer?

Yes, hello itman something is amiss. As I wrote I was curious not concerned, as did a snapshot prior. As I recall, the request to turn off firewall happened about half way through installation. Firewall is WFC. I had a China intrusion about a month ago so I blocked that IP range. I should have noted today the IP addy, but I didn't. I realize I can do an offline installation so I might.
