The Legend is back :Dand the Webroot Forum is also back on track. Mistakes were made. And admitted. That takes courage.

Yesterday, I had total scans count at 411. ...Today, with a reboot it shows a [new] scan, and it is back to 410. It had been doing this before, with earlier scans, too. Very strange!

    WSA_total scans count keeps changing_01.JPG

Does anyone know if they ever fixed the Firefox Quantum + Task Manager hang ups?

This should of been fixed in Webroot v9.0.19.43 released January 29th 2018. But I am still hearing in the Webroot Forum that some are still having issues with Task Manager. If you are having these issues then I would Submit a Support Ticket.

I suspect they read their own forums, and know it is still an issue. For now I will keep using other solutions.

I'm not having any issues with Firefox Quantum v59.0.2 64bit and Task Manager works fine on my Win 10 Pro x64 but I do have the issue when Chrome is open and Task Manager.

New Beta out to users: v9.0.20.24 notice in Red below as the installer is 3.53MB.

There could be more than this list says!

As a WSA user I need to know whether or not WSA provides adequate identification/information theft protection or if I need to add a more specialized product for that purpose?

How is the FPs now? Last time I tried Webroot around 2 years ago it drove me nuts constantly having to email files to support for whitelisting, how is it now?

Also, is Webroot compatible with Windows 10 Redstone 4 yet?

FP's = I haven't seen any for awhile on the PC version but there was with the Mac version that is now fixed. I'm not sure about Windows 10 Redstone 4, but I am running the latest Beta on 2 VM's and my main Laptop but yet to update to the latest Insider build https://blogs.windows.com/windowsex...iew-build-17134-for-fast/#RXYPUmgKckOa6GuX.97 also nothing said from Webroot Directly.

    @Triple Helix

I just installed Webroot again. Can you please remind me how to setup exclusions for a particular folder and/or file?

...but isn't there file exclusion option in the Consumer Version by clicking on the cog next to "PC Security", then clicking the "Block/Allow Files" tab, then clicking the "+ Add File" button at the bottom of the window and then selecting the file?

Well I wouldn't call it an exclusion list per say as you have to be careful not to Block something that is required: https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/home/wsa_pc_userguide/wsa_pc_userguide.htm#ManagingQuarantine/BlockingOrAllowingFiles.htm?TocPath=Managing%20Quarantine|_____2

I'm sorry. I've used Webroot for over 3 years and I've never had to report a fps! I've also never had to do a whitelisting request. I sincerely don't understand. Webroot is as silent and unobtrusive as any AV I've ever used.

Alex, maybe it is fine for some more regular users.

But I have several folders of many lesser known portables, as well as some beta applications, so I think that was the problem, and whitelisting was an ongoing issue.

I like WSA but I gave up eventually.

I have a similar situation to yours, but why insist that such programs to be globally whitelisted? It's a simple matter to approve them locally when new versions are installed.
