My issue was a bit different. I went back to prior version and have not bothered to check if it was a coincidence or not. Thanks mood.

Previously portable Waterfox was available in PortableApps format and and mine (56.0.4.1 64-bit), in Help>About does not pick up an update. My question: is this format still available, or should I now download the portable from 'Advanced Install Options & Other Platforms' on the new website ...
Portableapps.com format is available as it has been. And Wterfox portanle is also portableapps format, but is not available on sourceforge.com as all other portable apps, made by portableapps.com volunteers. It is available only on https://www.waterfoxproject.org/en-US/ site, download and instal https://storage-waterfox.netdna-ssl.com/releases/win64/portable/WaterfoxPortable_56.1.0_English.paf.exe
Thanks! I have downloaded and installed that now. But I am still not sure where you found it on https://www.waterfoxproject.org/en-US/ site ...
Good question. I have downloaded the portable version yesterday and i'm sure there were "several download-options" available but they seem to be gone now (but they are still available in the source of the download-page) Ah, i have found something. Disable Javascript and visit the main website (or download-page). Now you will see all available download options
Disabling Javascript, as suggested by mood, or scrolling to Download Waterfox, and then choosing "Advanced install options & other platforms", "Windows Portable", offers the common portable exe, not the PortableApps format paf.exe. Like you, I don't see where kaljukass found the Waterfox PortableApps paf.exe.
Thanks for confirming (I thought it might be a geo/server-related) ... you are stupendous . As mentioned above, I get Waterfox 56.1.0 Setup.exe at the "Windows Portable" link ... I would like to reliably find the PA format link, because that is what I have been using, for simplicity's sake - and because that was previously offered as the default portable format, if I am not mistaken.
