New in Chrome 65: CSS Paint API, Server Timing API, and CSS display: contents https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W4GSpoSOZI
How do we get the old Extensions page back? I hated when they changed the Setting page but this 'Material Design' version is bloody ugly. Disable - chrome://flags/#enable-md-extensions Ah, this did it... for now.
Curiously MD not bothers me at all. But I found quite inconvenient now extensions versions are not displayed by default so developer mode must be enabled temporarily to see them. Not convenient at all. I think Chrome designers should make version numbers and IDs visible by default.
The new "Ad-blocking feature" (blocking of intrusive advertisements) is activated by default for all websites (this feature can be disabled) And while i was looking through the updated Policy templates for Chrome, blocking of intrusive ads is only active if "Safe Browsing" has been enabled. There is a problem when starting Chrome set to open a specific initial page. UBO + Scripsafe extensions do not work. You need to refresh: After:
How do you notice for updates? I already have ADM policies installed in my W8.1 but don't know how to update without messing my current settings, especially Chrome's extensions.
At least with each major version you can expect updated policy templates. Download and extract the .zip-archive (policy_templates.zip) to a temporary directory and overwrite the currently installed policy file with the new one. The settings should be retained (at least i can see all of my old settings after updating of the policy file [ADMX]) [Or take some precautions before overwriting it (test it in a VM or Shadow Defender session, do a Backup, etc.]

mantra, I don't know what you mean by "mark now the 64-bit test" but maybe these 2 links from PortableApps could explain what you are asking, if you saw a 64-bit installation instead of a 32-bit version: https://portableapps.com/node/33737 https://portableapps.com/node/24371
No, I still use the 32-bit version, because all I use Chrome for is to check sites I build. Firefox is my everyday browser.
Seems like a flawed way to test the websites you build, using the least popular build (32bit). Let's hope there's never any issues that only affects the 64bit build, or you'll miss them.
It's fine for what I do. I'm only interested in CSS3/HTML5 code resolving, building basic sites for businesses that have no Internet presence. The fancy stuff, I leave to the big wigs.
