To know how MB plays with Sandboxie in your system, you have to try using both programs at the same time. I just browsed real quick the Sandboxie forum, and cant find nothing major related to MB. But the greater amount of security programs you use real time, the lesser the chances that something wont break Sandboxie. So, try using as few as possible security programs. You have a SBIE license, you really dont need much more than Sandboxie, so just use your favorite AV along SBIE and thats it (hopefully its not Norton or KIS and better yet, if is Windows defender). You dont need nothing else.

For browser Firefox Quantum in Sandboxie, I am using MBAM Premium version 3.4.4 with Exploit Protection On, Malware Protection On, Ransomware Protection On; BUT with WebProtection Off as I don't really need it. If you are running uBlock0 either with uMatrix or noScript, I personally don't think Web Protection is needed while in Sandboxie. Mind you this is MY opinion. If you are running MBAM Premium with Sandboxie you will need the M3 Template to be added/edited to the Sandboxie Configuration file. The Template can be found here https://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=22909#p126550 at the bottom of the page. For me, I use the template for the benefit of using the MBAM Exploit Protection for Firefox while Sandboxed. As a side note if you want to run the Exploit Protection only, there is a template for Sandboxie in that same website, MBAE template.

    Hi Bo,

Malwarebytes and Sandboxie seem to be working just fine thus far, no apparent issues at all. I'm also running Sandboxie inside Shadow Defender, which works great... and is my main priority above using Malwarebytes. Thanks for your sound advice :thumb:

You are welcome. I am not using SD with SBIE but both programs work very well along each other. Using Sandbox settings to restrict sandboxed programs from accessing your personal and sensitive files and folders is something extra you can achieve when you run SBIE in Shadow mode. So, use this settings. I think Osaban talked about them in the SD thread in a reply to one of your posts.

I had forgotten about the Template created by Syrinx. If you run into compatibility issues between Sandboxie and MB or you notice that something is not working properly in MB when you are running something sandboxed, then (and only then) use the template linked by my good friend, Wolfrun. If you don't need it, don't use it. If is needed, use it. Sometimes this templates become obsolete over time, they are not needed anymore or require an update.

You will need the Template in order for the .dll file to be activated while using the browser in Sandboxie. I have used both Templates M3 now and MBAE before and they both work well with the .dll protection activated while in Sandboxie. To check, run Firefox in Sandboxie and then run Sysinternals Process Explorer and Click on Firefox and View Lower Pane and check for mbae64.dll. If it's there, then the Template is working. Also want to add, I don't use an anti virus program and my system is Win 7 64 bit.

Yes, 5.24 has been released. If you are using W10, it behooves you to install it right away, or for sure, before updating W10 tomorrow.
