</aside on> Years ago I taught in the State Prison of Southern Michigan (SPSM) - at the time the largest enclosed prison in the world.. My average "student" had > 1 life sentence usually for murder. It was interesting observation (not just mine) that prisoners who were in for crimes that treated women and children badly were shunned and treated with disdain. I have to wonder how these prisoners sentenced for computer crimes would be treated. My hunch is they would be treated well as the cons would try to learn new "skills" for when/if they get out. And yes - it was an interesting experience. We are talking 40 + years ago and I still remember when inmate Colmes (lifer for 7 murders) grabbed me by the throat and threw me up against the chalk board. Thanks to three other lifers for probably saving my life. For that stunt. Mr. Colmes was thrown in "the hole" for 120 days and removed from the educational program. And he lost many other priveleges. </aside off>
