I think the one you want is what ever one is listed here - https://identitysafe.norton.com/client . Just click Enable if it isn't already. You will need the Norton Security Toolbar installed first I think.

Thanks Krusty. The link doesn’t work, but I assume it goes to v1.0.5 since you mentioned it requires the toolbar. The newer extension (v5.1.0.80) appears to work without the toolbar like the one in Edge.
What’s the deal with v5.1.0.80? Is there any documentation on how to install it if I wanted to give it a try?

    Whoops!

    Try this one.

I can't say because I gave up on ID Safe and use a far superior password manager now called Enpass. Unless someone else here can help, maybe better asked here.

I read through the threads about this on the Norton forum. What I got out of it was that each extension has pros and cons so use whichever one you want. It wasn’t very helpful. I could not find detailed instructions on how to install the new extension or what to do with the old ones.

My best guess is that you may need to disable both the Norton Toolbar extension and the old v1.0.5 Identity Safe extension to use the new v5.1.0.80 Identity Safe extension. Without step-by-step instructions from Norton I can’t be sure.

In any case, what protections would I be giving up if I disabled the Norton Toolbar extension?

Symantec CEO says cyberextortions, ransoms are "here to stay"
Kinda sounds like a sales spiel for LifeLock and Core.

Two Symantec employees who were instrumental in creating the Norton forums, Tony Weiss and and Dave Coleman, are moving on.

Without those guys the Norton forums suck!

Symantec have lost any interest in what their consumers want with their program and instead choose to follow their own path, one I will not follow..

Tony and Dave have been there for their customers for many years, so now that they're not there = a major loss to Symantec.

Wow that really sucks. I don't go on their forums much but them leaving is definitely a major loss.

Windows Defender works well enough for me and I have other complementary programs installed too.

Krusty, where did you hear that Tony Weiss and Dave Coleman were moving on? Tony and Dave are top shelf. That's going to be a major loss to Symantec and their forum.
