Yes correct. From the review that Hawki posted it seems that it does try spot suspicious connections via behavioral monitoring, so that sounds a bit more advanced. And don't get me wrong, I'm sure it is pretty good in what it does, but I get the impression that they are overselling it.

I got it at a discounted rate and have it installed on my home machine. I do not have the auto update feature enabled but everything else is on. So far so good.

Question: Do any of you have the Vector Detection enabled?

I received a Heimdal Pro license giveaway for 6 moths a month ago ,
however i can't even complete finish 30days by the trial version , and i remove it .

The reason is there is too many false alert , e.g ,
Heimdal block my most important communication software call " Line " on windows system's server ,
and even block my University official website (they remove this FP by my email feedback) .

But still don't understand why they still refuse remove the alert for the communication apps Line's server ,
the Apps " Line " had more than one hundred million user in Asia , such as Japan and Taiwan ,
and the Heimdal is the only one which is warring and block the server from Line .

From my view , Heimdal is completely unsuitable for Asia user , especially Japan or Taiwan's user .

Installed on second machine, and so far behaving well. Process Lasso used to show a lot of repeat activity on primary machine, but not now.

If it stays that way, may try installing current license on primary machine again - but now I've missed the 80% deal. :(

if a VPN is used, the primary function of the said app is thrown off track, ?
I mean, the controlled DNS of the said app will be therefore replaced by the one of VPN. The monitoring function of the said app is effectively OFF. At least there are my observations. It is off my rack officially. Pity.

What I meant with "overselling" is that they try to make it seem like it's a must have tool, which it is not IMO. Like I said, AV's and browsers already offer these features.

v2.2.190 working nicely on two machines. Seems liked they have ironed out any issues I had before. No noticeable drag either.

Can't say for sure if it'll work without trying it, but what I can say for sure is that, IMX, Heimdal is very possessive about which DNS servers will be used. One time I was having problems reaching websites and changed the settings to Norton Safe Search and then to OpenDNS. Within minutes, they had each been changed back to Heimdal's own server (127.7.7.x).
If you try Simple DNSCrypt and it doesn't work, you may want to disable traffic filtering in Heimdal.

Another question could be, does Heimdal dns use dnssec? If so, then dnscrypt probably isn't necessary.
