I allowed my WSA to update to 9.0.19.43 today. It automatically added the reg key. I have not observed any problems so far, and I have now installed the January MS patches (IE, .NET, M/S). on my old Intel T4400, W7 HP64.

@Triple Helix I have known you for many years. I have nothing but admiration and respect for you. You built the Webroot Forum from the get go...Thank you so much for your endless generosity, dedication, kindness, and support that you have given to me & others.. There will never be another man that has sacrificed their time with your knowledge of Webroot more then you have. You will truly be missed. It's a HUGE loss to Webroot and the Webroot Forum.:(

For the time being I will continue to use Webroot until I can find better...

EDITED: Sorry Daniel I missed the other posts when you said lets talk about Webroot!

In my personal opinion, and I know some on this Forum may strongly disagree with me, at this moment in time you probably won't.

As Baldrick puts it so well, the "disrespect" of Daniel by some "sadly ignorant persons" should not be confused with the merits or demerits of WSA.

Webroot's community forum has been going from bad to worse over the past week or so. Long standing posters have deserted it and the forum is constantly being bombarded with spam, often by newly created usernames who report issues with WSA.

It's amazing how quickly the forum has become unusable.

I have to agree with you...................................as well, there used to be many newbie postings daily looking for answers/help. Nothing but spam support phone numbers this past week!

You can run both MB & Webroot without an issue. If you have any issues. contact Webroot Support.

Anyone aware of conflicts or other issues running WD (Win10) along with WSA?

WSA should disable WD unless you enabled Periodic Scanning, and even i don't have any issue with them.

@guest, I never noticed WD was disabled.:gack: ...that being the case, do you consider WSA a more effective anti-malware solution than WD?

I rather use WSA than WD personally, not because it may be more efficient, but because unlike WD, WSA doesn't take 10sec to open a folder full of files...
About efficiency, i didn't see a big difference between them. I observed WD has a bit more FPs than WSA.

Note that AVs are the user backup, if the user acts recklessly (clicking happy), he will end infected sooner or later even if using the best AV in the world.
