Did someone trustworthy take over VLC development? Or did the original developers change their minds & decide to keep developing VLC?
Thanks, but no thanks. The new version does not play my DVDs properly, every 5 minutes or so it pauses and I have to advance the cursor manually to resume viewing. That happened on Win 10. With Vista same problem but even worse, audio stops working for no reason... It goes without saying that the older version was flawless...
It has no audio on my x64 Win 7 machine either. I was running the x86 VLC 3.0. I reinstalled the previous version and it runs fine. I think I'll stick with the older version.
It's just the other way round on my x32 Win 10 machine. I do have audio, but the background is always pink when I want to watch a movie. Hm... it's the first time I have problems with my VLC player.
It's been a long time since I've had problems with a new VLC release. Luckily I kept the previous version installer. Plus I always have SMPlayer and MPC-HC.
