v9.0.19.43 is supposed to fix that issue and I assume they gave you v9.0.18.44?

I have v44 for a long time now with auto update checked off so i don't get the reg key. Do i have to install 43 or another earlier version first so that i don't get the logon blackscreen issues and then install that latest version with the reg key.

If your on the Beta Channel and have v9.0.18.44 installed it will skip v9.0.19.36 and go to v9.0.19.43 but it will set the reg key so you will be offered the Meltdown/Spectre patch from Microsoft.

Keyloggers scare me......What about two cloud based solutions together like Webroot and Zemana?....Or just Webroot alone?

I just downloaded WSA v9.0.19.43 from the production download location. Obviously it was just released to production.

Just to let everyone know I will not be supporting Webroot anymore and I also quit the Webroot Community as it's gone down hill, I don't have any issues with the software and will continue to use it so you can continue to talk about WSA in here but please don't Ping me for help with WSA and if you need help just submit a support ticket!

Thanks and it's been a Pleasure since the Prevx days with Joe (2009) till now!

    Cheers,

    Daniel ;)

Hello Daniel, I'm very disappointed to learn of the apparently unpleasent developments over at the Webroot Community, and you have my total support and sympathy in your decision. You may have also noticed my increasing absence there over the past year, which speaks for itself.
Thank you very much Buddy for all the awesome help you've given over the years, back to the Prevx days. Quite simply, you're the best, and that can never be taken away from you.

    Cheers for now,
    Dermot :thumb:

Depends on what you want to do

Triple Helix did said: "I don't have any issues with the software and will continue to use it so you can continue to talk about WSA here."

That is correct. TH's issue is with the Webroot staff and the heavy-handed way they have been dealing with the long standing and dedicated volunteers in the community forum. Given the goings on there, it says a lot about WSA that he will continue to use it.

Each to their own of course but if Webroot can treat volunteers in such a shoddy way, it probably speaks volumes for their business methods.

Sums up the situation pretty succinctly and accurately as I see it! To my mind, it's a real, real shame what's been happening over there :(.

On the other hand, as of this moment, my experience of the core product has (fortunately) not changed. Since discovering Prevx back in late 2006, and then through the acquisition of its technology by Webroot in late 2010 and their integration of same into their security products from early 2012, through all of that time and up until today I have not once been (knowingly) infected. Which is a lot more than I can say for the security products I used previously, all of which remain household names.

Unless and until that changes, I intend to continue using Webroot.

I have about 50 days left on my WSA License. After boot this morning. WSA said my lic was expired. So i entered the same lic code i was using and it took it back to 50 days again. I had to uncheck auto update again so i don't get that reg key for Melt and spec. Maybe that's why WSA did it so i would auto update and get the reg key.
