Good to know. They've been trying to push this to my laptop since the day it was released and I have to delay it because as soon as I install it I get an instant BSOD. I would love to install it but since they can't make it work right and can't identify that they are hosing my laptop with it I have to set the delay to avoid it. Maybe if they would address the issues they wouldn't have to work so hard to get people to install updates.

That's why I am on LTSB. New features break things. I want a stable Windows and be able to install on
thoroughly tested patches. Do I miss anything by not being on the Current Branch? No.

I don't know if it's funny or not that Microsoft wants to seem to force Edge on us as the default PDF reader but it is incapable of opening a PDF from a network folder despite the fact that it is the only PDF capable software I have tried that cannot. The error it gives is "This website could not be found" so it is not likely intentional for security reasons.

Thanks for the suggestion but we just went ahead and made Adobe Reader the default PDF handler. I was just surprised by this and see that it has been happening for some time and will continue as even the latest Fast Ring Insiders build still has this issue. I don't know if it's a bug or feature but it's certainly not something that can't be overcome by using literally anything else.

Widespread Security Vulnerability Combined with Windows 10 Forced Junk Apps Installation = Not Surprised!

    * or as Will Dormann of CERT appropriately calls those apps "Foistware".

This is a well respected vulnerability researcher. Keep an eye out for this in due time. Apparently it has been reported to Microsoft already but could be some time before public disclosure happens, dependent upon Microsoft's decision whether to service/patch or not. We will see soon enough.

Since Windows 10 has many millions of users, I would assume that Microsoft will service this prior to disclosure.
