I just tried that extension but when I went to Add-ons > Firefox Temporary Containers extension > Options, All I got was a big black screen and I couldn't scroll down any further to actually see any options. Maybe a conflict with another extension?

I see this bug was resolved. Maybe I don't get it but I logged in and opened this thread in a new tab but I'm not logged in on the new tab. So what's so good about this extension that I'm missing? I would think per site would make more sense. I probably don't have a need to be both logged in and not logged in to the same site.
Not sure Krusty. I use a password manager to log in to Wilders (and other sites), which opens in a new tab in a temporary container. But I did have some other issues with Gmail (cookie persistence), which were essentially resolved via the link in #311, by using official Multi-Account Containers add-on. But I think your issue is different ...
Yeah, it says in your link: "One thing you’re maybe used to is to open a new Tab and use the search-engine of our choice. Now if you pay close attention to the Container name you’ll notice that by just left-clicking or right-clicking — and selecting “Open in New Tab” — on result-links you stay in the same Temporary Container. But there’s also a feature to help you with that: if you Middle-Mouse or Ctrl+Left (Cmd+Click on Mac) click on links, those links will also automatically open in a fresh new Temporary Container. Alternatively you can right-click on links and select “Open in New Temporary Container” somewhere on the bottom of the context-menu." That sounds like my problem too. Trouble for me is I centre-click on my scroll wheel to open links in new tabs so if I wanted to open new tabs in the same container it will take more clicks. As for this: "“But how do I stay logged in with just Temporary Containers?” you might ask. Just remember what we learned at the beginning of the article. You can use permanent Containers — predefined ones or add some of your own — and open Websites in them and you stay logged in that way. If you want that a particular site always opens in a particular container — e.g. a specific work related site always in the “Work” container — you can achieve this by using the Multi-Account Containers Add-on: Open a Tab in the “Work” container. Then surf to the site you always want to open in that container. Now click on the Toolbar Icon again and click the “Always open in” checkbox. Now if you open a new tab and open the site it will ask you to open in the assigned container. There you can also check the “Remember my decision” checkbox — that will make it so that now every time you surf to that site it will open in the assigned container without asking." I don't see any of that as an available option.
Maybe (if you think it is worth pursuing) contact the dev (stoically) directly. I found him responsive and helpful.

OK, I've revisited this issue and found the cure. In Add-ons > Temporary Containers > Options > Mouse Clicks > change Middle Mouse to Only if the clicked Link is not the exact same Domain as the Website > Save.
pity - that would force testing users to use firefox dev or nightly edition instead final or beta stage because otherwise they can not install such versions because maybe unsigned. dont know if authors can upload and sign but not publish betas. they need to sign and then to offer them separately, eg on github - raymond already did since beginning - but others not.
