Twister Antivirus now free ?

I went to their website and it showed free on the download button and their buy link says no long accepting payments.

I haven’t tried to install it again.

Just thought I’d share.

 

Their forum has seen very few new messages since a few years, and the ones I read were spam...
I’ll pass, thanks...

 

When its website for down for about a day a few days ago, I though there may have been some changes coming. However, the installer for Twister has not been updated since April of 2014. So it appears to have been abandoned.

 

Abandonware.

 

twister is like Jurassic park

 

if i am not mistaken bellgamin was a very active member here who used twister .... he can say what is going on there

 

It appeared to have been abandon, shortly after I purchased my lifetime license. haha

 

I was saddened when Twister faded into oblivion. AFAIK it is Abandonedware. RIP

 

At least they are still updating the signatures

Not quite dead. But looking like on life support.

 

Well, the definitions are kept adequately current, but their engine is 4 years old. Ergo, their program's algorithms must be pretty much out-classed by today's malware. Obviously they have no marketing savvy. Otherwise they could just make a few cosmetic changes to the GUI, name it "Twister 2019", & they might sell a few thousand copies.
