Dan, the developer, is very approachable. ;)

My laptop has no camera. But, you if you have a camera, you can uninstall the driver from Device Manager, rather than using tape.

On my laptops with webcams, I've never taken any steps to block access to the camera.

True, but I may not rule out the use of the camera in the future which would require only to temporarily uncover it, rather than re-installing a driver...

You also could disable the driver in Device Manager and then re-enable it if you needed to use it. But of course using tape will work too.

Roger, I don't want to appear picky, but theoretically a hacker who can access your computer and activate the camera, is also capable to re-enable its driver if he is really motivated. A piece of tape needs to be physically lifted by hand...

I completely agree! He has been very nice to me. I'm grateful for Wilders, where developers interact with us and take our suggestions into consideration..

All protection features are available on the free version. What's missing is the settings. But honesty the common users shouldn't bothered with messing with the settings since Dan has already worked to make sure VoodooShield offers great protection while at the same time being user-friendly.

Switched out Appguard for Voodoo Sheild as AG was causing problems with Sandboxie, tried a couple of fixes on Sandboxie forum but didn't work.

Upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10. Using only Windows Defender, Sandboxies, Firefox + NoScript.

I'm wondering whether Appguard will be enough to block any threat or whether I should add something to my setup.

My security setup this days are Windows Defender, VoodooShield, AdGuard and HTTPS Everywhere on the browser.
I have NVT OSArmor too, but he was producing strange problems with my windows 10 so I uninstalled it.

    Hello WS community,

I need your advice on my combo's configuration, please....

    "Avast Free Antivirus + OSArmor"

I am using this combo but I actually don't have a Firewall module in my combo and I want to add a 3rd party Firewall into that combo
which does not overwrite or conflict with any of both softwares of the combo.

    Questions
    1. Which of the following Firewalls do you recommend to be added into my combo and why?

    - Comodo Firewall
    - Xvirus Personal Firewall
    - SpyShelter Firewall
    - ZoneAlarm Firewall
    - FortKnox Firewall

    2. Avast Free Antivirus includes a BB which is Behavior Shield. I wonder if that aspect of Avast would be redundant with some aspects of OSArmor or not?

Any advice is welcome, Thank you for your good assistance :)
    Best regards,
    Rebsat.

I would take Avast off the list, just takes up resources. Zone Alarm Pro, EAM (Behavior blocker), and OSArmor + SBIE work very well together.

A question: Aren't some rules supposed to be enabled by default in the Advanced settings? So, I manually enable just seven, like .jar, netsh- and .vb-related. Any recommendations for additional rules that should always be enabled?

Edit to add: The signing of the OSArmor driver is happening soon? Secure Boot is still disabled, naturally.

Wow, this is a nice setup. :)

If you use comodo firewall, you don't need anything else, unless you want multiple layers that overlap each other.
If you want a good combo with no signatures, I'd use OSArmor with AppCheck and windows firewall with advanced security

Thank you very much for sharing your great knowledge with us bro ;)

I would greatly appreciate it if you could give me advice on the following combo:
Avast Free Antivirus + SpyShelter Firewall + OSArmor

    Question:
Is there a way to make this combo working very well without any incompatibility and conflict?

  25. Avast - Disable BB
    Avast - Disable Heuristics Detection
SpyShelter Firewall - Disable System Protection
    OSArmor - Setup as normal
