VS, never did anything but take up space and communicating with the cloud (privacy invaded) . :cautious:

Getting to think all these programs are snake-oil. There are a couple of programs that are good,
won't mention don't want to be labeled a "fanboy":D. Too late?
Just don't understated how Y'all can let personal info go to the big companies?

@Socio EAM and VS seems to be a good combo. I also tried HMP.A a couple of months ago, but it did not really run smoothly here. Running EAM and VS is more than enough for an average, normal user like me. Even running EAM on its own would be enough, but it feels soooo "naked" to be covered by just one security app.:)

@Circuit I think VS does a pretty good job but I should stop here. It's really off topic; this thread is about EAM, isn't it? :)

    Has EAM really protected anyone?
    No evidence.

I sure have. In my live computing, no. But going into a virtual machine, and throwing malware at it, it is very effective at protecting.

Sounds like you have an agenda here. Of course it has protected someone. Do you expect it to start blocking things out of the blue when there is nothing actually there to be protected from. Throw on EAM and go to some dodgy websites or load some malware, you'll see then how well it performs. If you've tried it and nothing has been blocked well then that is more a testimonial to your browsing than the effectiveness of EAM.

If you practice safe computing that can be said for any AV.

This is basically what I said here and it applies to any anti-malware product, not just EAM.

So their product is just for looks and does nothing? It does great against malware. I use it on my home machine now alongside Heimdal Security. No issues to report.

Test EAM in a VM and then get back to us, vs. making false accusations.

Isn't it better to post updates for the beta version in the EAM beta thread and stable updates in this thread? :cautious:

That was the goal, but seems this thread is more popular :p

Yes that can happen if you work in "international" company where employees are working in different time zones ;)

For SEVEN HOURS+ there's been an unanswered question on The Emsisoft Support Forums asking if the current version of EAM will allow the WIN 10 Meltdown Update.

    SEE:

"...Due to an issue with some versions of Anti-Virus software, this fix is only being made applicable to the machines where the Anti virus ISV has updated the ALLOW REGKEY..."
