It seems that they have forgot it Or they are waiting 1 week until they are releasing it (as like the slim version)
Maybe, but this new feature is more than welcome: - Chrome: Added support for cleaning cookies from Local Storage
It's no setting it is build in when you clean the cookies of chrome with ccleaner. Before it left local storage cookies behind, not anymore You van see the difference cleaning with an older version and go to settings, advanced, settings for content, cookies, show all cookies and site data. (not exact, but a rough translation of my dutch chrome settings) You still see local storage for all the sites you have visited. After cleaning with this new version there is no local data left behind.
I completely forgot about this old trick to have a portable from the installer(d) version: 1. Download the exe installer. 2. Extract with 7-zip, you need only CCleaner.exe and/or CCleaner64.exe. 3. Lang folder is optional. 4. All other files and folders can be deleted. 5. Create a text file with the content: #PORTABLE# and named it to portable.dat.
I don't want to clean any cookies because it might be a problem with my userid and password to auto log in to sites..
Where's the portable version? https://forum.piriform.com/topic/49281-wheres-the-portable-version/ Exactly what i have assumed before. They are delaying it too. Edit: Newer comments:
The portable version could always be downloaded at the same time as the installer and the slim version was delayed. This has changed with v5.39. Now both versions (portable + slim) are delayed.
Ok my bad. Slim and portable have no malware installers. So it's about the money and getting max exposure for ads first.
I'm very sure that there was always a link to the download page where the installer/portable and the slim version could be downloaded. But after visiting of https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download the link to it seems to be gone now. While i was wondering i visited the forum and it was also mentioned there: Comment: "but I can no longer see any mention of the builds page on the main CCleaner download"
