If those links are delivered to your browser through https then traffic is still encrypted. Link is just a link, it doesn't say how it's delivered to you. There is no mixed content in that case. When you click on that link that's another story, but that's a problem of Softpedia and MajorGeeks.

    Yes, indeed there are.
If you use IE11, you will see a mixed content warning "Only secure content is displayed" with the page that Kyle gave as an example.
That I why I didn't understand what Kyle meant to say.

VLC media player 2.2.8.0 was tagged as beta in SUMo, and I 'un-beta'ed a moment ago.
If you go to the VLC media player page, https://www.videolan.org/vlc/,
you will see that version 2.2.8 is now offered for Windows.

    Edit:
Ah, I see you deleted your report just before I posted my reply.

In this case : Right Click > Skip > Forever (this particular update will never happen on your OS but you'll be notified of next one)

    Thanks, Kyle.
I downloaded the new 5.4.3.379, but I haven't installed it, yet.
Could you elaborate, what exactly does Dynamic URL opening on events mean in SUMo?

This is for being able to dynamically interact on event, like pushing to a dedicated forum page on specific errors. Useful for troubleshooting.
Same for proposing to give feedback after using a new feature for the first time.

I am not sure that I can oversee all consequences of that feature. Therefore, I am not sure if I want it in SUMo.
Can Dynamic URL opening on events be disabled in SUMo settings? If not, could an option to disable it be implemented in the next SUMo build?

Sure ! From that time on, it can be disabled from server side si that i can turn this off immediately if not appropriate.
    Please share feedback.

    Hi Kyle,
OK that you can disable "Dynamic URL opening on events" on the server side, but what I meant was, can the SUMo user(!) disable "Dynamic URL opening on events" in SUMo settings (Ctrl+S)? And if not, could an option for the user to disable it in SUMo settings be implemented in the next SUMo build?
