I don't know what to think about this. Will this mean they will try to collect even more data? I think it's a shame they keep asking to share tracking data, even when they are now owned by Cliqz which was supposed to make Ghostery more trustworthy, but I'm not buying it. It is however a pretty good extension though, but I don't see the need for AI, especially with their dubious "track record", no pun intended.

Isn't the telemetry and/or data collecting disabled by default?

Ghostery has a controversial past. When I learned that, I didn't trust them. I trust them even less now.

Can't remember, I believe that upon install they ask you if you want to enable it. The problem is that since Cliqz took over, they keep asking whenever you open the interface, so it has become worse. Another thing that bugs me is that advanced settings are not loaded from disk, but they are downloaded form the Ghostery server. I'm sure that this new AI stuff is just an excuse to allow Ghostery to collect data. I will be probably switching to Privacy Badger, but last versions didn't work well on Firefox.
