    I'll be trying this in the next days:

    Based on Trisquel GNU/Linux, itself deriving from Ubuntu.

    It seems it can even install RPM packages!

    Didn't detect my wifi adapter, so the trial ended right there. :(

    Black text on crayon white background, yaaay for eye-cancer inducing websites!

    So why would I pick this over Trisquel, exactly? What are the advantages?

    Maybe it's more up-to-date?
    Trisquel 7.0LTS is already almost four years old.
    They are discussing about Trisquel 8 on their forum at the moment though.
