Yes, I did. Probably, won't use it. I know nothing about Ashampoo software.

I'm toying with the idea of installing EAM and Windows Firewall Control (WFC).

    (1) Are they compatible with each other?

    (2) Do I need anything else? Are EAM and WFC enough to be well protected? My computer is not exactly new, so I'm not looking for an "overkill" security config. It should be a light and easy-to-use config. Thanks for your help.

I think that is good enough. I have that (EAM WFC) + SBIE + Appguard.
    Everything is running smooth.
    They are compatible!

You can try to select the " Memory usage optimization " option ,
it may help for the old computer . :)

I installed EAM last night (after struggling for an hour to get rid of my previous AV solution). No problems so far. The EAM trial period has only just begun, but I can imagine that it will be a keeper.:)

I only installed EAM last night, so I'm still using default settings. However, I would definitely like to tweak it a bit.:)
    Are there any recommended settings?:geek:

    Depend your computing habits.

If you have safe habits (not opening every mails attachments you receive, not downloading and running unknown files, not going to suspicious sites), you can set the Fileguard to "Fast" (it will monitor files only on execution) and you will gain performances.

Good to know. I will tweak the Fileguard accordingly. Thanks, guest.

The first week of my trial period is almost over. No problems so far. I do think EAM is a keeper. Waiting for a good Emsisoft Christmas offer now.:geek:

I've been using EAM for almost two weeks now - so far, so good. However, it feels kind of "naked" to have just one security solution installed (with the exception of Windows Firewall Control). Any suggestions for an additional security app that is easy to use and compatible with EAM? I still think a layered approach to security is better than relying on just one security apps.

Edit: I tried Voodooshield last night. Easy to use but it blocked too many perfectly legit apps that I use on a regular basis. I'm just tired of whitelisting one app after another. I'm looking for an easy-to-use, set-and-forget security solution that is compatible with EAM.

Put VoodooShield on training Mode for a day. And see if that helps. Or you can simply use it on Autopilot mode.

Btw, did you allowed VoodooShield to do a snapshot?

I use both EAM and VS together, and they seem perfectly fine.

Yes, I did but it kept blocking apps. Not really what I want.

OK, I guess I should be a bit more patient with new (security) software. I will give VS another try.

Had it installed for over two years, never blocked anything. Had do do a restore when I found out my firewall broke (Tinywall).
Not a peep out of good old EAM.

I would keep VS and I have seen a lot of people running Hitman Pro Alert with EAM and VS for an extra security layer and secondary scanner, which is exactly what I am going to do as soon as my Kaspersky expires.
