I know I'm missing something simple, but how to I edit/add whitelists? If I wanted to add a custom script file to a whitelist how would I do that?

fwiw strong rumor at MT that danb is no longing posting there. unfortunate, as I suspect true.

Have someone contacted Dan? Does he have any idea on what to do now that he apparently can't post in this or the other forum?

Perhaps looking for another security forum.

Now that Dan is banned at MT and here does anyone know if he posts anywhere else to keep us updated.

I'm currently using 4.12b which has worked flawlessly since being installed. However if Dan is unable to post new versions then this could mean the end of VS beta testing and affect the development of the program if there is no way to discuss any issues as they arise.

Thank you plat1098... your first link took me to see Dan now posting today in the VoodooShield support forum there. It also made for very interesting reading about recent events.

You are welcome @zarzenz. :) I took a look there myself, there is a reply and it is also worth reading and taking to heart a bit.... I'll be watching this issue from a distance as I'd removed the software for several reasons. If it goes open source, I will renew my interest in VoodooShield.

Have to disagree. They don't ban anyone unless it's warranted. This I know from working with them

They banned me (I quit before they banned me) at MT a couple of years ago for arguing that they were sharing Webroot SecureAnywhere keycodes and installers for Bank users and I told them it was illegal and got the said keycodes disabled so I have no use for such forums. I don't know if they do it anymore as WSA users would send me a PM here and tell me about such things. But as for Dan and VoodooShield he will be supporting VoodooShield at the Calendar of Updates: https://calendarofupdates.org/index.php?board=21.0 and that's all I have say on the Topic.

I went to calendar of updates link, at 1230p cst sunday, and 2 things, it would not let me register is said something like error -- registration not currently available, and then viewed as Guest, did not see any posts from dan there, primarily posts by TH and a few others. Folks who saw dan posting there, can you re-confirm. No idea why I couldn't...

I got a slightly different take by PM from one of the supermods, one more favorable toward dan and questioning who did what to whom in that problematic MT thread.

?? TH, I went to the calendar of updates link, tried to registered 2x indicated registration was closed at the moment, or I got the captcha wrong 2x and their wording is misleading. Also I did not see any recent posts by dan, ie, posted today. I looked at 1230p cst sunday 03dec.

Nevermind, now see where he posted, but still issue with registration??

I add to the whitelist simply running the script/executable. You can do this in training mode, but I prefer to do it under Always On. If VS flags the script/executable you can Allow it (adding it to the whitelist). Otherwise, if it passes VS scrutiny it is auto-allowed and shows up on the whitelist.

That hasn't been my experience. There are some automation script I run which I'm not asked for input on; VS doesn't ask me to permit or deny them. I will try running VS in training mode, but when I do it in always on mode I'm not asked.

Do they show in the user log (auto-allowed) or command lines after they are executed? If they run without interference then it's likely they will be ignored in Training mode.

How long does it take to register on Calendar of Update forum?

It already been a few days.
As a VoodooShield user, it's bad if I can't access its support forum.

Got an email stating that my request will be reviewed and approved. And that I should wait for another email but so far nothing.
