Broadband firms must ditch 'misleading' speed ads (UK)

    Yeah, the term "speeds up to X bps" needs to be outlawed everywhere.

    Just getting British Telecom to stop telling porkies would be a start.

    Never believed clams that are too good to be true, I have to experience what is claimed for myself. Haven't your heard "Your millage may varies ".

    BT just told me that they had decided to up my broadband speed to 76Mbps however they then said because of my distance from the fibre cabinet I can only get 50Mbps but my broadband package will state I get 76.

    Oh, and just in case I was overwhelmed with the kindness of their gift, the cost of my package goes up in January by £2.50p per month.
