SUMo : Keep your software up to date

Most probable cause is SUMo scanning a wrong file with these data... or junk data injection into the server (what i feared first) but not confirmed so far. This is now under my direct monitoring.

 

Do you mean you reported the false positive?
I will too, in a moment.
Note that it takes G Data about a week or more to clear false positives, if they do at all. The G Data folks can be rather stubborn, sometimes.

 

Here's the screen capture from the G Data UI, showing the so-called phishing report.
Note that G Data mentions any detection as 'virus', which is stupid. G Data assumes its user base is ignorant.
"De toegang is geweigerd" is Dutch for Access has been denied.

False positive reported by me as well.

Edit: Here are the properties of two CCleaner files:
CCleaner.exe: version 5.37.92.6309
CCUpdate.exe: version 17.8.77.0

So version 17.8.77.0 belongs to CCUpdate.exe, not to CCleaner.exe.

Another good news, all SUMo pages are not 100% HTTPS compliant (with only HTTPS outgoing links)

Exactly what do you mean, Kyle?
The page that you gave as example has mixed content, https + http, as it has a few http links, for Softpedia and MajorGeeks.
Mixed content, https + http, is not uncommon.
But how exactly is that "good news"? I don't understand what you mean to say.

 

I mean that Firefox now displays a "green lock" next to our URL rather than the yellow lock + warning sign (because of a few external HTTP images).

 

Even for pages with mixed content like the one you gave as an example?
So Firefox is so lenient to tolerate a few non-https links? How very kind of Firefox.
