That thing isn't working 100% at all...
You can manually do any group policy settings on windows 7/10 home versions, you can download
Group Policy Settings Reference for Windows and Windows Server

spreadsheet straight from Microsoft which shows every group policy setting in the Windows registry+explains them.
(This could be easily used to make some tool or scripts to have them enabled/disabled easier..)
If a certain key isn't found in your home edition, then you just add it.

Well, I ended up wiping out my system and doing a clean install. Now it works and I can see all my Office updates and WUMT has the fourth option. Thanks everyone

Well, my issue happened yet again. Wiped out my system and did a clean install of Windows 10 1709. Unzipped and ran WUMT and once again the Office updates do not show because I only get these options:
    DCAt Flighting Prod
    Windows Store (DCat Prod)
    Windows Update

Again, what is missing is the option "Microsoft Update". The other options do not match any of my other systems which are Windows 8.1 and 7. Now doing a reinstall should not be a fix, something else is wrong as this has happened twice on two clean installs.

Q1 - What is causing this to occur

Q2 - How do you fix this without doing a clean install?

Some help please. Version 20.12.2016. Win10 Pro 64-bit 1709, Both Windows 10 and Office are activated. Let me know if I can provide more info if needed, thanks

EDIT: Or maybe if I remove WUMT (which has been done), reboot and then unzip a new one same results. Is there some other file or folder somewhere in the C: drive that contains settings or what not?

Hello clubhouse1. I am using that auto-script and has come in handy. What I am not sure is why on two different occasions (Win10 build 1703 and 1709) the options in WUMT were not all there. On the 1703 I just ended up doing another clean install and then it worked, but on doing a clean install for 1709 doing a clean install again is not an option. There has to be something that is making this occur. If I read what you pasted, are we saying that WUMT version 20.12.2016 does not work with Win10 build 1709 and that in order to fix this issue a newer version of WUMT is in order?

I am getting this, you see the options and "Microsoft Updates" is not one of them.

On another Win10 system I get this, the option is there

I need the "Microsoft Updates" option because I have Office on my system and I am not getting any updates when I should since this is a clean install. Hopefully this explains better why and what I need done.

EDIT: @clubhouse1 I did try that one, but same results. I am wondering if I need to reinstall Office to force WUMT to update and show the "Microsoft Updates" option. Not sure still digging, but will try this today and see. I am interested in what peoples settings are set to. Like untick "Include drivers" this can be useful in telling someone that there are driver updates. You don't have to install them, but use the setting as an advisory so that one can go to manufacturer and get them there. What about the "Automatic Updates" area, what do people set that to. Just interested.
Thanks for the help clubhouse1, I'll report back later today about the reinstall of Office

Well, got it fixed. All I did was check the box to receive other updates, backed out then went back to see it unchecked. Did it again like several times and then it appeared my system crashed. Rebooted and now it stayed and I have the option "Microsoft Updates" and I can see all of them. Funny.

Well, strange incident which was by mistake. On a Windows 7 machine I had hidden KB2670838 and it shows up under the hidden. The mistake was I accidentally checked it and did the unhide, but this is a mistake that opened up a weird thing. Instead of going to the list of "Windows Updates" it went directly to the "Installed" listing.

So I opened powershell and the system does not list that KB number as being installed. Something wrong with the WUMT I have? I'll try it on another Windows 7 machine

EDIT: Tried on another machine, same thing. Maybe a rollup update had a version of it?

Any doubt or question go to this thread @MDL
There you can have a good support from the community. I'll try to do my best to keep in touch with the developer (stupid user) but again, post your question there to get some/full support.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hi.
    I have win7 x64 and office 2003 SP3.
why is windows update/WUMT (under MS updates) always offering office 2007 updates (I'm not sure about 2005 and 2010 also) to download. Is this normal and should I install these or I'm just wasting time?
    thanks.

Does anyone know why WU MiniTool won't save my hidden updates? I'm using Win8.1 and do often clean up windows to keep speed up. Maybe I'm deleting something I shouldn't be deleting?

Maybe the tool just reads WU for the hidden updates and there's nothing I can do? The whole reason I started using the tool was the hope that it would save my hidden updates because windows NEVER has saved my hidden updates more than a few days and comparing to my huge list of unwanted updates everytime I want to update windows sucks. I have a script that instantly enables or disables all services needed for WU, but window constantly unhidding hidden updates sucks. :)

I just downloaded v2.2.7, as I just heard about it approx. 15 minutes ago. It's found updates under "Installed", such as:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1803; I have 1803 installed, which I just did about an hour ago...so what is it..?!

MSXML 6.0 RTM Security Update (925673)

Security Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB4023307)

Update for Windows Defender Antivirus antimalware platform - KB4052623 (Version 4.14.17639.18041); This one failed under Windows Update itself, when I was doing a general update after installing Win10.

But, it's not actually giving me the ability to install any of these, or am I doing something wrong..?!
