I refer to the link below

    https://www.slideshare.net/Andrejimko/project-101

Although the tests were carried out on the older ESET Smart Security 6 then I would like to know whether the latest ESET IS version suffers from the same fate

    To summarize

With default settings ESET IS cannot detect attacks like port scanning, different kinds of DOS (TCP/UDP/ICMP flooding, IPv6 router advertisement attack and deAuthentication attack)

    Can someone confirm?

And is it possible to improve with additional settings in ESET IS to overcome the mentioned problems? If yes, what are the settings that need to be enabled/disabled?

    Thanks

ESET firewall contains IDS which also includes detection of port scanning. Moreover, it also includes Network protection which is updated by a module and can detect malicious packets at the network level. Thanks to this module ESET was one of few vendors to prevent WannaCry from spreading to unpatched computers in networks.

ahem - is anyone SERIOUSLY pulling up a more than 4 year old report about a piece of software that is out of date by versions: 7, 8, 9, 10 and now 11 - and asking whether this is relevant to the current version? Really?!?!?

The problems were identified then. How about now? Are they resolved?

Are you using ESET IS? If yes, do you have answers to them?

I see you at ESET forums if you are the same 'Marcos' there.

Can you answer as to whether those mentioned issues already being solved in the latest ESET IS version?
