    I used the filter without the dash, but both filters work in ABP or UBO. Is easy to test, you can use this 3 links from YouTube. I save those links for testing purposes. The first 2 have the ad somewhere around the middle and the third link, at the beginning of the video.

    For youtube, I also use the "Youtube: Other Annoyances" list, from hxxp://youtube.adblockplus.me

    Hi rdsu, that filter is not good anymore. I used it for a few years but about 2 years ago, it stop blocking ads like the ones displayed in the videos I linked in the post below. When that happened, I stopped using it, and later I found the one I posted/posted by Krusty also, a filter that actually work..
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/ublock-a-lean-and-fast-blocker.365273/page-125#post-2716991

    But anyway, I just tested to see if the Other annoyances filter works again, maybe it got fixed but found that still doesn't block annotations in YT videos. Is faster for me testing with ABP, but the result is exactly the same as if I done it with UBO. Here is an example, you can see the ad to the left of the video and the Other annoyances filter as installed to the right. The filter doesnt block any of the ads in the 3 videos I posted, you should switch to this filter, "||youtube.com/annotations".

    after a short review only one of those lists is usefull - the ip table, the rest (nearly all) could by caught with a general tld lock
    Code:
    !~~~tld-lock~~~
    ||*.gdn
    ||*.gdn^
    ||*.pw
    ||*.pw^
    ||*.bid
    ||*.bid^
    ||*.top
    ||*.top^
    ||*.today
    ||*.today^
    ||*.us
    ||*.us^
    ||*.win
    ||*.win^
    ||*.date
    ||*.date^
    ||*.loan
    ||*.loan^
    ||*.club
    ||*.club^
    ||*.xyz

    ||*.pw^
    ||*.click
    ||*.click^
    ||*.info
    ||*.info^
    ||*.yt
    ||*.yt^
    the ^ is IMO for adblock, i dont think uBo need this.
    at least those lists will grow. a nice a d decent filtering on 3rd-party content and in special denying 3rd-party scripts will lock out the most. thats why i dont care much about such (special) lists.

    Ublock filters - Resource abuse - 26/26

    and

    Nocoin Filter List - 7/28

    @gorhill I see that you are adding filters from Adguard.
    Adguard Base Filters
    Adguard Mobile Filters
    Adguard Spyware Filters
    Adguard’s Annoyance List

    Is it possible to also add the Social media filter from Adguard?

    That filter is no part of Adguard’s Annoyance List and the only custom filter I still have to add.

    currently too much nonsense on the run about ublock and other blocking extensions because people do not investigate some reading.

    rising: "Adblock for xyz-service" or "no-coin" extensions, or "anti-cookie".
    people often install this crap because they dont know about the capabilities of uBlock and which list to activate/insert.

    for reason i have activated the RUS ads list and - applause - it filters ads on a german site.
