Hi, I'm trying to setup SlickVPN on a Raspberry Pi2 that's running LibreElec (8.2.0.1) and Kodi Krypton (17.5.) I've installed the VPN Manger for OpenVPN (4.1.9) add-on. I managed to get it installed and running the correct .opvn files. VPN Manager shows green and says it's connected to the VPN service and the corresponding .opvn file, however, it is still showing my external IP address and not that of the server it says it's connected to. Running an IP check from within Kodi confirms that it is still showing my IP. Was hoping there was someone here with experience setting up a VPN on Kodi/Raspberry Pi2 with LibreElec OS that may be able to help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. Installed SlickVPN on PCs and Android phones without problems, just the Pi that's giving me fits. May just install SlickVPN directly on my DD-WRT router if I can't get it on the Pi, but that would be my last resort. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, BD

Thank you for that info @mirimir. I'm not really trying to setup the Pi as a Gateway, though. Just trying to get the OpenVPN client running properly. The Pi doesn't have Raspbian (although I could add it pretty easily), just LibreElec and Kodi. It connects to VPN but still shows my IP address. OpenVPN log shows 1 error: Linux route add command failed: External program exited with error status 2. But I'm not sure what that means, if anything. Well, I spent hours this weekend trying to get it going with no luck. I guess I'm going to attempt to install Slick VPN on an additional router (Advanced Tomato) that I have, connect my 2 Raspberry Pis to that and then tether that to my main router. There is some pretty good info out there on how to do this, as opposed to what I'm trying to accomplish. It's all good, though. I knew nothing about VPNs days ago, I feel like I've learned a lot over the last few days. This old dog loves learning new tricks. Thanks for your help. If you have any insights into tethering a VPN router to a standard router, or know of some good resources, I'm all ears. I'd like to consume as much info on the subject before I attempt to do it so, hopefully, there won't be any surprises. Have a good day, BD
Maybe just try openvpn at command line. There could be some incompatibility between VPN Manager and the OS. It could be the external program that exited.
That's a very good suggestion, @mirimir. I can try that when I get home from work. No command via Kodi but I can SSH into it from a PC. Thanks again for your help, BD
